Welcome to Liechtenstein

We have heard "One of the most beautiful campsites in Europe" from our guests several times. It's not for nothing that some regular guests have been coming to Liechtenstein for their holidays for 30 years.

Situated at the foot of the Mittagsspitze and at the entrance to the wild and romantic Lawena Valley, Camping Mittagsspitze is the ideal place for a relaxing, unforgettable holiday. Nestled in the beautiful landscape of the Liechtenstein Rhine Valley, the campsite, which is open all year round, offers everything a visitor could wish for.

Pitches

  • 25 spacious pitches laid out on meadow terraces approx. 50m2 in size (summer season only)
  • 7 pitches with gravel/meadow/tarmac surface (only these pitches available in the winter season)
  • 30 terraced pitches for camper vans and tents approx. 40 m2 (summer season only)
  • 15 tent pitches for cyclists and motorcyclists (summer season only)
  • 7 XL pitches for motorhomes and caravans approx. 60m2 (summer season only)
  • 6 ampere power connection at each pitch (Swiss power connections / no CEE connections on site)

  • Drinking water available at various fountains throughout the site (no water connections directly at the pitch)

  • Free Wi-Fi in the area around the reception (no coverage on the pitches at present)

  • Dining restaurant "zur Alten Eiche" with fine cuisine on the camping site
  • During the school summer holidays, pop-up bar with small snacks, drinks and themed evenings at the partner business "Lawenasaal" on the camping site
  • Tips for hikes, leisure activities, bad weather, shopping and restaurant visits in the immediate vicinity directly at reception (summer season only)
  • Information brochures available at reception
  • Electricity plugs, extension leads and cable reels can be borrowed from reception for a fee (summer season only)

Surroundings

In the immediate vicinity in the village of Triesen there are indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a jogging and fitness trail, a spacious adventure playground and a forest rope park for climbing (15 minutes' walk away), an indoor swimming pool and shops as well as a leisure and sports park (30 minutes' walk away).

Camping Mittagsspitze is the ideal starting point for various hikes, bike and cycle tours as well as for all winter sports activities in the Liechtenstein, Swiss and Austrian Alps. Numerous tours start from the campsite.

The border with Switzerland is just three kilometres away and Austria is 20 kilometres away. Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, can be reached in around ten minutes by car. Special attractions in Vaduz include the castle of the princely family, the art museum and the "Hilti Art Foundation", the treasury and the Liechtenstein National Museum.

Accessibility and public transport

Public buses leave from the "Säga" bus stop, an 8-minute walk from the campsite, and run every 20 minutes to the mountain region, to Vaduz, to Austria (Feldkirch) and also across the Swiss border (Buchs, Werdenberg, Sargans) at very favourable fares. At weekends, night buses also run after midnight.

The campsite is a 10-minute drive from the A13 motorway exit. The nearest motorway exit is Balzers / Trübbach or Vaduz / Sevelen.

Hosts with passion

Camping Mittagsspitze was founded in 1950 by Otto and Maria Schurte. The campsite is now run by the third generation of the Schurte family and their team. The staff do their best every day to ensure that guests find a clean, well-kept and beautiful site surrounded by breathtaking scenery and can enjoy a relaxing holiday in Liechtenstein.
