Bad Weather Tips

Even in bad weather, there are many ways to make good use of your time. Ask the reception staff for more tips and current events in the area.

Art, Culture and History

There are many contact points for some culture and history. Directly next to the campsite would be the Lawena Museum, which represents the emergence of electricity in our country, which is always open every last Sunday of the month from March to October, or visit the Gasometer Cultural Center for culture, in Triesner Unterdorf. The Domus Museum & Gallery in Schaan offers a wide spectrum of historical and artistic development in Liechtenstein. The Domus Museum & Gallery also offers various changing exhibitions. For history fanatics, we recommend the Walser Museum in Triesenberg, which reflects the history of the Walser immigrants who settled on Triesenberg in the 13th century. The Walserhaus, which shows the living culture of the 19th century, also belongs to the Walser Museum. However, the Walserhaus is only accessible with a guided tour. For those interested in living culture, there is also the Biedermann-Haus, also known as the Bauernhaus (farmer's house). This exhibits an old farmhouse built in 1518. The Biedermann-Haus is located in the municipality of Schellenberg. In Vaduz, we have the Postmuseum Vaduz, the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein with the Hilti Art Foundation, or the Liechtensteinisches Landesmuseum. Both the Kunstmuseum and the Landesmuseum are closed on Mondays. Please note the opening hours of the respective exhibitions.

For Adrenaline Junkies in Bad Weather

If you need a little adrenaline kick, you are welcome to visit the Nendeln go-kart track http://www.kartbahn.li or the indoor climbing hall Sparta Bouldering & Bar in Buchs (SG) https://sparta-bouldering.com . For the little puzzlers, we recommend LESC – Escape Rooms in Buchs. https://lesc.ch/

For Good Weather

Whether it's a beautiful bike tour or a hike with a visit to one of our mountain guesthouses, Liechtenstein offers perfect routes for beginners and professionals alike. You can start directly from the campsite, e.g., with the Liechtensteinweg or use Triesenberg and Malbun as starting points. If you want to enjoy the beautiful panorama of our country with a delicacy, we would recommend the Berggasthaus Masescha or, for organic lovers, the Gasthaus Matu in Gaflei. For both guesthouses, starting in Triesenberg is recommended. A beautiful panoramic route that can be well combined with one of the two guesthouses would be the Walsersagenweg. Of course, you will find more great themed trails at: https://tourismus.li/erlebnisse/sommerurlaub-in-liechtenstein/wandern/themenwege-und-lehrpfade/

For family fun, the Alpen Mini Golf Malbun from June to the end of October is very suitable, or if you prefer to solve puzzles together, the Furisto – Foxtrail through Vaduz. Archery in Malbun is family fun when it comes to teamwork and concentration. If you want to go higher, you should definitely visit the Berggasthaus Sareis, which is the starting point of the swing path. The hiking trail leads past beautiful viewpoints and guesthouses, so it's definitely worth a visit. Great fun for young and old.
